I believe that two people are connected at the heart, and it doesn’t matter what you do, or who you are or where you live; there are no boundaries or barriers if two people are destined to be together.
This time I want to tell something more, I’m talking about a unique relationship. It ‘amazing how Edward and Sarah have won me over with their history.
When Sarah wrote to me about her idea of the wedding I was so grateful she had chosen me for their special day. In a few words; an intimate wedding, far from everyone, just two people loving each other so intensively.
I asked Sarah and Edward to tell me their story. I ended up astonished by Sarah’s words: ” I had a rough home life when I was young and had just gotten into an argument with my mom. I walked out of the house, feeling very hopeless, and didn’t know of anyone to call other than Edward. I called him, crying, and asked what he was doing. Turns out, he was in the town over meeting with a girl he was considering hooking up with, but he immediately left and came to pick me up. We just drove, and I asked him to take me literally anywhere, and he chose to take me to his father’s grave, somewhere he’d never taken anyone. I know that sounds morbid, but that place was somewhere he would go to feel comforted, and he wanted that for me. Our relationship started in a state of complete vulnerability and openness and has remained so ever since.
We knew we wanted to love each other just before that, though. We had gone on a vacation with a few other friends, and we ended up sleeping on the floor of the little bungalow on the beach we stayed in. I can remember waking up and opening my eyes to see him asleep, and it was then I knew that I wanted to pursue him.”
I think people mean this when they talk about twin souls. A connection which involves the same experience of love by two complementary points of views.
When a couple tells me a story like this, I’m always amazed. Knowing the background of a couple helps me to better picture their story, it fascinates me, inspires me and this does nothing but benefits both parties.
Since their eternal love for Tuscany, Ed and Sarah decided to marry in a fantastic setting; Villa il Poggiale.
Their marriage was something intimate and intense. The best ceremony I’ve ever seen so far, made of moments of pure love.
I hope to find over my career as a photographer other wonderful couples like them.
